Important
Message About the Embrace Ministry
Over
the past six+ years, the Embrace Divorced and Singles Ministry's
activities have reached literally hundreds of divorced people to find a
social outlet, often as the very first step after coming to terms with
their divorce and venturing out socially ready to begin renewing their
spirit and their life.
Embrace is truly blessed to have served all
who have taken the time and found the courage to come out to its
activities. For those who have not been divorced, this may be difficult
to understand. Even though divorce is common, it is little comfort to
those who experience the train wreck that it wreaks in their lives.
Embrace has helped people to find their well-being and put their social
life back on track.
Embrace is equally blessed to have so many
people help out in the planning of its activities. Without them, there
would not be an Embrace Ministry. And, this message goes out to those
people and anyone else who has been to an Embrace event as the Ministry
seeks to move forward in two areas:
1) The Ministry needs to add a stronger spiritual
component to complement its social activities. Ideas, but more
importantly, action is needed. If you feel this calling, contact us.
2) The Ministry seeks new leaders. Life
situations change and so do people, and when it is time to hand over
the reins, that time becomes apparent. Helping people is a labor of
love otherwise you would not do it. While it may seem like this is a
major commitment, it usually just requires a couple of hours a week in
between the activities. Linda Majer and I are very willing to assist
with this transition and to smooth the way (and not abandon) anyone who
hears this call to lead Embrace. The Ministry leadership will be turned
over to the new leader or co-leaders on January 1st.
God bless and be thankful for the many
blessings that you receive each and every day!
